For more than 20 years, we have been the driving force behind cross-border business orientation. C-BRTA has been providing efficient services to cross-border road transport companies for 22 years. While Namibian vehicles of all classes pay fuel fees and taxes for the maintenance and construction of the country`s roads, vehicles registered abroad should also pay their fair share for the use of this infrastructure. As a result, CBC is payable for all foreign-registered vehicles entering Namibia. The Agency was established to provide advice, regulation, facilitation and prosecution in the field of international road transport in order to improve the free movement of goods and passengers in the region; the introduction of regulated competition in international road transport; reduce operational constraints for the entire international transport sector; improve and strengthen the capacity of the public sector to support its strategic planning, empowerment and monitoring functions; and enable the cross-border road transport industry to maximise its business opportunities and gradually self-regulate in order to improve the safety, security, reliability, quality and efficiency of services.
